WHOZ UR DADDY!!!

Hey guys! This blog is about my adventures in buying and training my first horse. First of all, I'll tell ya a little bit about me. I'm 14 years old right now, and in 9th grade. I live with a totally non-horsey family in Forest Lake, Minnesota. My family doesn't understand my horse obsession or why I'd rather hand in a dusty barn and scoop horse poop than go to a school dance. My grandma is the only one who supports my love for equines, and she trys to help my horse dreams become a reality. She's the one who bought me my first Breyer model, signed me up for riding lessons, and listens to me babble on and on about horse breeds, care, shows, tack, and more with intrest. I also love fastpitch softball, karate, painting, drawing, sculpting, reading, and music, and can read braille(my best friend Reven is blind, and he taught me), but my "mane" intrest is horses, horses, and horses. Did I mention HORSES?!?!?! lol!

Anyways, the whole point of this blog is supposed to be about me and my first horse, so I should make it clear that, no, I do not own a horse yet, but hope to. I'm saving all my money from dog training, baby-sitting, and custom horse portraits to buy him and everything he needs. I would also like to tell you all that I am not going to purchase a horse until I have enough money saved up to pay for his entire first 2 years, so I am prepared and have money saved up in case of emergency colic surgury, ect. And when I do get this horse, I'm going to make a life-long commitment to him, so there is no chance of him getting sold to a bad/abusive home or to slaughter.

You might have noticed that I keep refering to my future horse as a he, and that is because I want my first horse to be my dream horse, and my dream horse happens to be a male. Here is a full description of my dream horse:
NAME: Whoz Ur Daddy
BREED: Thoroughbred
COLOR: dark bay-almost black
MARKINGS: none
GENDER: colt
AGE AT PURCHASE: weanling
PURCHASED FROM: TB Friends Thoroughbred Rescue
SPORT: Dressage
COMPITITION COLORS: hunter green with tan accents

Yeah, I know that a young horse for a first horse is a really bad idea and not reccomended, but I feel that i would be able to handle it and train him with the help of a pro trainer. And I would like to state it now that my dream is for me and "Whozzy"(the nickname for Whoz Ur Daddy, pronounced "who z") is for us to make it to grand prix, and maybe show in the Olympics. I'm writting this here, because if it actually comes true, I want proof that it would really be a dream come true.
